Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House" Books
The World of Little House
Inside Laura's Little House: The Little House on the Prairie Treasury
Four "background" books on Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House" books give readers more insight into Laura's world in Pepin, the Kansas Prairie, Walnut Grove, De Smet, and Missouri, as well as Almanzo's world in upstate New York.

Each book is illustrated throughout with Garth Williams's familiar work as well as new illustrations by Mary Collier and Cathy Holly.

You'll find maps of the "Little House" locations, floorplans of each "Little House," Laura's Family Tree, recipes and crafts from all of the "Little House" books in The World of Little House.

Special attention is given to the "Little House on the Prairie" in Inside Laura's Little House.  In these pages, you will find the route the Ingallses took from Minnesota to Kansas, where the cabin Pa built was located, recipes and crafts from the original book, and even some of the songs Pa played on his violin as the family sat around the campfire.

In My Little House Crafts Book and My Little House Christmas Crafts Book (pictured below), you will learn how to make more projects from the "Little House" books.  All of the projects are simple enough for younger readers to do and rewarding for adults, as well.

What better way to learn more about Laura's world than to do some of the things she and Mary, Grace and Carrie, Pa and Ma did to make their lives colorful and meaningful as they made their way across the unsettled prairies?
