2012 L. M. MONTGOMERY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
The 2012 L. M. Montgomery International Conference was held June 21-24 at the University of Prince Edward Island, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The topic was "L. M. Montgomery and Cultural Memory."
The L. M. Montgomery Literary Society was well-represented at the Conference -- several members attended and three presented papers: Carolyn Strom Collins, Emily Woster and Dana Gerberi. Mary Beth Cavert and Christy Woster participated in a special panel.
The LMM Literary Society sponsored a Silent Auction as a fund-raiser for the newly-formed "Friends of the L. M. Montgomery Institute" during the Conference. Featured were many early editions of LMM works along with items related to LMM's works and to Prince Edward Island. Total raised was over $2700.

Celebrate a Montgomery Christmas in Norval, Ontario
L. M. Montgomery lived in Norval, Ontario, for about ten years and wrote several books there while raising her two sons and helping her husband in his ministry at the Presbyterian church. Every year in late November, the Norval community celebrates their connection to Montgomery with tours, shopping opportunities, programs and presentations.
